  4. I am reading an article about Chimps. The main idea is that Chimps are very much like human beings in many different ways. One peice of evidence from the text is, "Chimpanzees are our closest living relatives, sharing more than 98 percent of our genetic blueprint. Humans and chimps are also thought to share a common ancestor who lived some four to eight million years ago." This peice of evidence helps me as a reader find the main idea because it is telling you what the section is going to be about.

  6. The main idea in (The Wildest Plays In Sports) is to inform the reader about the wildest plays to ever happen in sports. I know this because for example it says 5 interceptions in a game by DeAngelo Hall. This tells me it is wild because it says (A total of 19 players have intercepted 4 passes in a game but nobody has intercepted 5.) therefore I know that that was wild.

In the wild they can swim over 18 miles per hour. There average weight is 150-200 pounds. A bottlenose dolphin' s skin is smooth and rubbery. A coastal bottlenose weigh's about 190-260 pound's. The rounded part of there head is called melon. There eye's are on the corner of there head and near the mouth. Bottlenose dolphins reath throuh there blow hole.

  8. In the article Searching for Snow Leopards I know to look at the article and see the headings. So first I looked at the heading and it was cat scat. I know that scat means to run away or leave quickly and snow leopards are cats. So I made an inference and guessed that paragraph was about snow leopards running away. I read the paragraph and found out scat also means poop! The section was actually about a scientist collecting leopard poo. I looked at the other 2 headings and had no clue what they might be about. Those headings were snow leopard selfie and movers and shakers. Here were my guesses. My guess for snow leopard selfies was the leopards were taking selfies which is totally unbelievable if it is true. For movers and shakers my inference was it was about how snow leopards move a lot so it is hard to see them because they move really fast.

    1. I am reading the article Bald Eagles and I think the main idea is that Bald Eagles are very special. In the text it says that Bald Eagles were endangered but there has been an increase in population. I think that makes them special because they aren't going to be extinct. It also said that they are the country's emblem. I think that is special because no other bird is the country's emblem. Also it said that they are the largest raptor I the world. Overall, Bald Eagles are special in a lot of ways and they are not endangered anymore
